Biopsy

Biopsy is a diagnostic method. A painless intervention that takes a part of the tissue that is then meticulously examined under a microscope and so changes are seen and a definitive diagnosis is established.

The word biopsy comes from the Greek words bios which means life and opsein which means watching, considering.

The material is taken from places where there are changes, that is, from a place where the doctor suspects there is a pathological change.

It is a medical technique that involves taking tissue for examination. The tissue is examined under a microscope to establish a definitive diagnosis.
